Ministry of iTaukei Affairs Deputy Secretary, Mr Pita Tagicakirewa, received a donation of 5,000 masks from Gold Rock Investment Limited.

He thanked the company for the donation and reiterated what the Hon. Prime Minister mentioned in Parliament on 2 June 2021 that fighting COVID requires a multi-stakeholder partnership approach.

The donation is significant in this regard. To support the Prime Minister’s commitment in Parliament that Government will assist Turaganikoros in Tailevu, Rewa and other Provinces with PPEs, the iTaukei Affairs Board will distribute the masks on request. Sanitisers and thermal guns will also be provided later.
