Customary Title Dispute
All written request for Customary Title Disputes that cannot be solved traditionally (by the Vanua) must be submitted to the Provincial Office concern.
Confirmation of Customary Post Title – Head of Mataqali/Yavusa
The landowning unit will inform the Provincial Office concern on the person that they have elected to the hold the position before the Provincial Office will recommend to the Chairman of the iTaukei Lands & Fisheries Commission (CTLFC) in writing the support of the landowning unit on the person they have elected to hold the position.

Surveyed and Unsurveyed Taukei Land Dispute
Both grieved parties to write to the Provincial office on the disputed curveyed boundaries before the Provincial Office will notify the Chairman of the iTaukei Lands & Fisheries Commission (CTLFC) in writing that a land boundary is disputed.
Amendment of the Ownership of the Customary Fishing Rights
The Provincial Office or a landowner will need to formally notify the iTaukei Lands & Fisheries Commission that an error has been found in the Register of Customary Fishing rights document.
Waiver of Fishing Rights
The request for Waiver of Fishing Rights needs to be submitted to the Permanent Secretary for Lands and Mineral Resources with the following supporting documents:
confirmation that the Developers have visited the respective Qoliqoli Owning Unit
an endorsement by the Roko Tui and current owners of the Qoliqoli

Confirmation of Extinct Tokatoka/Agnate Descendants
The iTaukei Lands & Fisheries Commission will consult the respective Provincial Council before the decision will be made known to the Vanua.
Confirmation on Extinct Mataqali
The Chairman iTaukei Lands and Fisheries Commission will consult and confirm with the Vanua and Provincial office concern before any Mataqai will become extinct .
Amendment of Schedule A & B Land
The iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB) will gazette on respective Extinct Mataqali/Yavusa before it is submitted to the iTaukei Lands & Fisheries Commission.
The Registration of Names in the Vola ni Kawa Bula (VKB)
The informant needs to provide a Full Extract of the original Birth Certificate and fill the registration form. (download form)
Deletion of Deaths in the Vola ni Kawa Bula (VKB)
Informant needs to produce Death Certificate, Burial Order, Notification of Death or any official Memorandum from the Ministry of Health and fill the application form. (download form)
Registration of Overseas Births
Informant to produce child original Birth Certificate and original Marriage Certificate of the parents and fill the registration form. (download form)
Please Note:
If the child is registered under the mother then Birth Certificate only is required.
If Birth Certificate is registered in other language, then English translation is required.
A Statutory Declaration made by the informant must attached with the registration form.
Deletion of the Deceased (Overseas Deaths)
Informant to produce the original Death Certificate of the deceased and fill the registration form. (download form)

Transference of Registration (Veitokitaki)
(This topic is for those registered under their mother’s name and want to be transferred to father’s landowning unit register)
All written request of transfer (veitokitaki) needs to be submitted to the Provincial Office concern with the following supporting documents:
Confirmation of applicants name is on the mother’s land owning unit register.
Searches for any blood relationship in the intended landowning unit register has to be established
A written consent from the mother and an acceptance letter from the father.
The applicant written consent if over Twenty One (21) years old and over.
Acceptance letter of the transfer from the mother’s mataqali, yavusa and also a written letter from the father’s mataqali and yavusa.
Confirmation that the traditional protocol has been conducted
Verification of Names from Other Stakeholders
This is one of the services provided to the development stakeholders which usually seek assistance to the TLFC. This includes the TLTB, Housing Authority, Fijian Affairs Board, Fiji Hardwood, Fiji National Provident Fund and including Legal Firms & representatives
The written request should include the names and signatures of the landowning unit elders and the Turaga ni Mataqali or Tuaraga ni Yavusa.
Please Note: Any request without the endorsement of the Turaga ni Yavusa or Turaga ni Mataqali will not be verified.
Change of Name in the Vola ni Kawa Bula (VKB)
The informant needs to Produce the Birth Certificate with the ‘Change of Name by Deed poll identified by Registrar General’s Office.
Insert Additional Names in the Vola ni Kawa Bula (VKB)
The informant needs to Produce the Birth Certificate with ‘Additional of Name’ (AN) identified by the Registrar General’s office.
Change of Status Due to Legitimacy of Birth
The applicant needs to produce the Birth Certificate indicating that the biological parents had been legally married
